Flax Seed Facts; How much should I use?

One tablespoon of ground flax seed per day is recommeded to get the recommended allowance of ALA.  If you are using flaxseed because of a medical condition, such as high cholesterol or blood pressure, then 2-4 tablespoons is recommended. Try taking 2 tablepoons twice a day, especially before meals or bedtime.  The fiber will help you feel full.   Most importantly, start slowly with 1/2 tablespoon and gradually increase the amount to avoid intestinal upset. 
Ground flax seed is easy and ready to use.
